The UK and Ukraine have signed a £2.26 billion loan agreement (approximately €2.74 billion) to support Ukraine's defense capabilities. President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the UK for its support and confirmed that the loan will be used to produce weapons in Ukraine. The loan, to be repaid using frozen Russian assets, was signed amid tensions following a heated exchange between Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, which led to the cancellation of a planned agreement. The UK is hosting a summit with leaders from 15 countries to discuss further support for Ukraine. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the need for a "massive and common" European security funding and reiterated that Russia is the aggressor in the war.
